Anika Johnson

 I truly believe that if you put a woman in an environment where she is relaxed and free to birth the way she chooses, powerful things will happen. This is why Birth Care is so special because women are given this opportunity.

Let me introduce myself… My name is Anika Johnson.  I am new to the Birth Care family and the Lancaster area. I am a wife and a mother of five wonderful children.  Being a mother and a midwife; I can say that I experienced birth from both ends! Every woman who is fortunate enough to experience motherhood is given a powerful gift and trust from God.

 I come to Birth Care with years of experience ranging from working as a doula, childbirth educator, labor and delivery nurse, and a certified nurse midwife.  My experiences in helping women during this special time range from performing deliveries  in modern teaching hospital to delivering a babies by candle light on a dirt floor in a third world country.  I thank you, for allowing me to share in this special time in your family’s history and I look forward to meeting your family’s newest gift from “God.”
